Please sign up for the event if you're planning to come. Even if you're only looking to play friendlies and don't want to join the tournament.

Safety

We take COVID-19 very seriously. We’ll do our best to offer you a safe and fun environment. Please do not participate if you feel ill.

Tournament type

The tournament is played in the Double Elimination format. That means that you will drop down to the Loser Bracket if you lose once. If you lose again you’re out of the tournament.

Prizes

The prize pool will be divided up amongst the Top 3 (60%/30%/10%). The prize pool consists of the 3.- CHF that all players who join the tourney have to pay (in addition to the entry fee of CHF 3.-) If all 24 tournament slots are filled, the prizes will be as follows:
1. 43.- CHF
2. 22.- CHF
3. 7.- CHF

Matches

All games are, unless stated otherwise, played as Best of 3s and the finals as Best of 5.

Fees

Venue Fee

All players who enter the venue are asked to pay 3.- CHF as a venue fee. This money will not go to the prize pool.
Paying this fee allows you to use our setups to play friendlies (unless they’re reserved for tournament play) and use the venue from 18.00 until closure (around 23.00).

Tournament Fee

If you’re interested in playing the actual tournament, you will be asked to pay another 3.- CHF. This payment will make up the prize pool distributed to the Top 3 tournament players.

Rules

Please read the rules, which you can find at Regeln. We also expect you to treat your fellow players with respect and kindness. Discrimination of any kind will be heavily punished. If our staff considers your behaviour to be unacceptable, they may warn you or kick you out of the event at their own discretion.

Location

The GameTurnier Arena by eStudios can be found on the 2nd floor of Frau Gerolds Garten, 3 minutes from the Zurich Hardbrücke train station.

Important

Don’t forget to bring your own controller and the venue fee either in cash or via Twint.

Please bring your own setup (Nintendo switch, Dock, Power Cable, Gamecube adapter) if you can. We need 10 setups to make sure that everyone can play

If you’re using a Gamecube adapter, you should bring the necessary adapter. If you’re playing on a Pro Controller, please bring along a USB-Cable (Type C) for easy pairing with the console.

Open

The venue opens at 18.00. All setups will be available to play friendlies on.

Tournament start

The tournament starts at 19.00. Some setups will be reserved for tournament play.

End

The event ends at around 23.00.
